Ormonde holds investigation permits in the Salamanca and Zamora Provinces of western Spain, which are in joint venture with Shearwater Group plc. Exploration work to-date has shown these permits are prospective for gold, including several promising drill targets.
La Zarza is a large “massive sulphide”, polymetallic deposit containing significant copper, gold and zinc resources. It is located in the prolific Iberian Pyrite Belt, the home to well-known large-scale mining operations including Rio Tinto and Neves Corvo.
Ormonde has applied for new investigation permits with gold exploration potential elsewhere in western Spain. These applications cover a significant surface area which includes several known prospects featuring gold-bearing, quartz vein systems.
